Truck Driver/Pastry Cook
Wayne

My name is Wayne I own a Hire a Hubby franchise which I purchased in April 2005.

Previous jobs: Trade qualified Pastry Cook went on to manage new bakery for major supermarket. I got sick of being locked up inside so I brought a truck and started working with road works. I was looking for a change and saw the Hire A Hubby advertising in the local paper at just the right time. Being a believer in franchise systems I could see that they offered a lot more than what I could manage on my own and decided to give it a go.

The skills I have, I got from Tafe courses, books, magazines, home renos and just every day problem solving.

Working for myself gives me flexibility to work jobs around family (i.e. Kids School events) and the great lifestyle it provides.

Truck Driver/Motor Mechanic
Mike & Wendy Boxell

I wanted to be a handyman and after extensive and exhaustive investigation, found that Hire A Hubby offered the wife and I the best prospect of having plenty of work with no limits (other than the level of competency and government laws) on what we are allowed to do. There are no lead fees with HAH, set monthly management fees. We found that the initial fee was terrific value as it includes training, sign writing, insurance, phone deals etc. We also had a guaranteed income for the first 12 weeks which gave us immense peace of mind.

I learned my handyman skills from 25 years as a motor mechanic and also doing years of handyman jobs for family and friends.

I enjoy the fact that am able to work with my wife on most jobs, the diversity of work is amazing and I love meeting new people. My wife and I can also work our own hours.
